The workshop explore the many shared traditions between Ireland and Scotland - historically, literarily and musically. Fred is Visiting Professor of Scots Language and Scottish Music at The Royal Conservatoire of Scotland. He is author of a book on the 18th-century Edinburgh poet, Robert Fergusson and a children’s book on the Paisley poet, Robert Tannahill (2009).

Hope Brewery are the only craft beer brewery based in Fingal. They are based in Howth Junction and have also won a national start-up award. The Hope story started out at the end of 2015 with a core range of three beers brewed under contract, a plan to build a brewery and a dream to develop a first-class company. The theme this year is:  “Brexit: Ireland’s Opportunity”  Entrants will be asked to make a 3 minute spoken presentation on this subject. The competition is open to entrants who are 18 years or under or those who are 19 years and over. A yoga story telling session is the use of books as the main yoga prop to facilitate a yoga session,incorporating music, nursery rhymes, storybooks, storytelling and movement. The Toddler sessions take place with parents. Books used are age appropriate and familiar, for example Dear Zoo or Guess How Much I Love you. Warm ups take the form of nursery rhymes and song, followed by a book (or two if the children are responsive) followed by breath work (feather or bubble games) and relaxation. As with the other toddler session, the session is aimed at children who can sit to aged 4 years and lasts approximately 45 minutes up to 60 minutes, if the children remained engaged.
